Homemade Cleanser for Dry Skin

As I mentioned in my previous post (Skin Cleanser Tips) that facial cleanser is one of the most important part of skin care. Its better to use cleanser twice a day, in the morning to remove toxin that has been released when you were sleeping and in the night to remove dirt and grime.

Cleansing a dry skin can be quite difficult as it has thin texture. Cleansing this type of skin must be done very carefully as it can easily get irritate, You can even use homemade cleanser to clean you skin. I know some homemade cleanser which I would like to share here.




  • Raw milk works wonder on dry skin. Apply raw milk on your face and massage in a circular direction. Then leave it for 10min and rinse off with warm water.  
  • Take 1/4 banana, 1/4 papaya & avocado. Mix it well and apply it on your face. Wait for 20mins and rinse off with warm water.
  • Mix banana and 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply it on your face and wait for 20mins. Then rinse it off with warm water.
  • Carrot juice is a good cleanser. Apply carrot juice on your face and leave it for 15mins. Then rinse it off with warm water. Carrot juice can also help in removing blemishes.
  • Yogurt is a great cleanser. It not only remove dirt, dead skin and grime but also moisturizes your skin. Apply yogurt on your face and massage it in a circular direction. Rinse it off with warm water.
  • Mix 1 tsp of milk with 1tsp of honey. Apply it on your face and leave it for 20min. Then rinse it off. Honey contains antibacterial and norishing properties. Milk contain AH acids which helps remove dirt and dead skin.
  • Mix 1tsp honey with 2 tsp lemon juice and 1tsp sugar. Apply it on your face and massage in a circular direction for a minute. Leave it for 15 minute and then rinse it off with warm water. 
  • Take 2 tsp of milk & 1tsp of sugar. Mix it well. Apply it on your face and massage in a circular direction. Then rinse it off with warm water.
  • Mix 1 tsp honey with 1tsp lemon juice. Apply it on your face and massage for a minute. Leave it for 10min & rinse it off with warm water.
  • Mix 1 kiwi, 1tsp of almond oil, 2 tsp yogurt and 1tsp honey. Make a thick paste of it. Apply it on you face. Leave it for 10-15 mins. Then rinse it off with warm water.
  • Mix 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp aloe vera gel. Apply it on your face and leave it for 10 min. Then rinse it off with warm water.
 Don't forget to apply toner and moisturizer after cleansing your face.
